In 2008, Adam, along with his brother Alec and good friend Gideon Coyle, formed a paranormal exploration and investigation team called the The City and Rural Explorers Examining Paranormal Zones, or C.R.E.E.P.Z. Ghost Commandos. The Tillery brothers and Gideon began venturing to many historic and haunted locations throughout the greater Kansas City area and the Midwest. Together, they research a location’s history and its ghost stories, while documenting any potential evidence of ghostly activity.

As mentioned in the About section, Adam draws ghosts. After creating a series of illustrations for Haunted Road Media, the people who submitted ghost stories to have illustrations drawn for them found Adam’s drawings to be eerily similar to the ghosts they encountered. Adam is now considered a “ghost sketch artist” where he draws composites of ghosts based on the descriptions given to him by the people that have personally encountered the spirits.
Here are the testimonies to the ghost drawings that have startling accuracies to the actual ghosts people have encountered...
“The absolutely incredibly accurate depiction of "James" by Adam Tillery whose story is told in my first book "My Life Amidst The Paranormal".
"James, an illustration by Adam Tillery for my own story of which brought me to tears the first time I saw it.”
(James is featured in Encounters with the Paranormal Volume 1 and My Life Amidst The Paranormal)
"OMG! That is SO accurate. I just got chills..."
(Byron is featured in Encounters with the Paranormal Volume 2)
"I have to admit, I had a vague impression of Annie in my mind and you have actually drawn that vague impression. There's not a lot of detail to her, but what you have there is essentially what I had of her in my head."
(Annie is featured in Encounters with the Paranormal Volume 2)
"Goodness. You are so talented. That's seriously the spitting image of him."
(This ghost is featured in Encounters with the Paranormal Volume 3)
